Sand Hill Park is located on the north shore of Lake Erie, in Burwell, Ontario, Canada. It is the tallest sand dune of Ontario and a natural marvel. It is a majestic sand dunes tower over 450 feet high, above the water. Just hike to the top of the dunes tower to witness unbeatable views from above or go around the bottom of the massive sandhill. The dunes get taller because of the Southwest winds. It is surrounded by 2,200 feet of sand beach, a shaded campground, few nature trails, and hayrides.

Things To Do At Sandhill Park

Family operated by the Alton family, since 1854, Sand Hill Park is a great place for fun with a safe family experience. Here you can enjoy swimming on the sandy beach while making fun memories with your family.  Just lay down on a white sandy beach with the sun shining down. The bright turquoise waters surrounding the dunes will really make you feel like a paradise. 

During spring, you can spot bank swallows along the shoreline. These very much communal birds use their tiny small feet to burrow into the sandy cliffs to nest. They nest in dense colonies ranging from about 10 to 2,000 nests, along the shoreline.

You also have the option of camping here for a weekend escape. Just choose between fully serviced sites with hot showers, toilets, and electrical outlets to add to your camping experience! 

The organizers also host lots of events throughout the summer at Sandhill park.
