Methuen Lake is a lake located in Durham Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada. It is about 73 miles from Oshawa. It is located in the township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen. Methuen Lake is east of Sugarbush Lake. The lake is about 325 acres in size and is 45 feet deep. Methuen lake receives most of its flow from numerous smaller tributary lakes. As it has a number of beautiful sandy shores with granite outcroppings, it is one of the popular lakes in the vicinity. 

Things To Do At Methuen Lake 

The main attraction of the lake is its peacefulness. In fact, there is no public boat launch present on the Lake. Numerous camps and cottages are present on the shore of the Lake. Hence the lake receives regular fishing pressure.  

The joy of catching a fish at the lake is awesome. Mostly found species of fish present in the lake are small-mouth Bass, Muskie, and Rock bass. Here you will also find other varieties of fishes including muskellunge, walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and muskie. Take care while fishing on the bottom near the lakeshore, as there are underwater phone lines, and anchor lines present. The water of the lake is moderately clear.
